The Asheville Meditation Group is affiliated with Self-Realization Fellowship (SRF), an international religious organization founded in 1920 by Paramahansa Yogananda to disseminate the universal teachings of Kriya Yoga, a sacred spiritual science originating millennia ago in India. The international headquarters are based in Los Angeles, CA.

The Meditation center is open to the public for services and special activities. You are invited to attend and we welcome you to stop by our chapel during scheduled services and events to find out more about the teachings of Paramahansa Yoganada. 

The Asheville Meditation Group was formed in 1994. Below is a slide show of the dedication of our new chapel in 2019 and celebration of 25 years of seeking God together. Below right is a photo of our new altar dedicated in September 2024.
